Get to Know Lucinda
It’s been a while since we’ve shared our lady of the Long Term Care Home, and quite frankly we didn’t think Lucinda was up to expanding her circle of trust to a new home, especially as she balanced diabetic care with the people she’s becoming quite enamored by. This spritely senior is full of surprises, and while she may not be the conventional happy, healthy, easy going lap cat most visitors are in purrsuit of, her impish delight in rolling in catnip while visiting trusted besties is enough for us to believe someone else out there may want to erase her sad past and give her the golden future she deserves. Our vets have worked on a comfortable plan to address her diabetes through diet and medication, which will be covered at cost through our Pet Health Centers. The more she’s allowed to breathe in tranquility, the more she craves attention on her own terms, which is why a place all to herself as the only pet, with patient, experienced adults is all she needs to settle into a caring home. We’ve grown to adore our lady of the House—and our oldest feline resident at Animal League America—and look forward to introducing her to the hero who takes her home purrmanently.
